Full Moon’s Mass Dead at Charles Town

I have confirmed that 4-year-old Full Moon’s Mass is dead after breaking down Saturday at Charles Town. A cheap “claimer” her entire abbreviated “career,” she was “For Sale” at a paltry $4,500 prior to the race.

This is horseracing.

  1. These horses are treated like cars.
The car breaks down and leaks oil.
The noble horse breaks down and leaks BLOOD – a magnificent living creature breathing air with his heart beating. Racehorses are purposely bred to suffer and die, if not on the track the vast majority meet their horrific inhumane deaths in the slaughterhouse.
    This is horseracing.

  2. When in the hell is someone going to do something about this? Their is a horse dyeing some where once a week. This is way way out of hand! Anyone in their right mind knows they are shooting up these horses! Anything to win and Fu– the horse, this is really angering me seriously !!!!

    • Yes, Karen, it is horrific and I understand your rage and frustration. It’s really difficult to understand how anyone can support this industry, isn’t it…especially those who claim to love the horses!

SHARE the Horseracing Wrongs FB posts, Karen – if you are already, THANK YOU and keep it up. Education is something we can all do to bring awareness and I promise you, the industry hates being exposed.

      Thank you for your support.

    • Karen, when I last looked into it there were TWENTY-FOUR (24) horses dying on the racetrack each week in the USA.
And they’re only the ones that are disclosed. At least double that number and that would be closer to the truth.
