The NYS Gaming Commission reports a pair of 2-year-old horses killed while training at Finger Lakes: Mere Aglise, Thursday; Choice Indian, Saturday. Thus far, 31 racehorses have perished at New York tracks in 2017.

2-3 year old horses are not mature enough to race hard or put through the extensive training they go through,when are people going to learn ,a tragic waste of of a beautiful animal just for money
Sharyl, so true. However, please keep in mind that horseracing is a gambling industry and gambling is ALL about the money. Since racing can’t be reformed, it must “die in the dirt” the same way that many of the horses do.
