  1. Devastating for these innocent creatures to have been born to endure such cruelty. Theas Reign and Exotic returned “bleeding from a cut mouth” at Parx. Aren’t there any rules to charge jockeys?

  2. Thea’s Reign and Exotic Appeal both bleeding from cut mouths. It is possible that this could be the result of tongue ties being used on them. Don’t know if tongue ties are on their listed gear when racing.
Also could be the result of horse biting its tongue e.g. trying to get its tongue over the bit. Also could be rough hands on the reins with jockey yanking on them causing pain and damage to the horse’s mouth.
    Such fun….eh….?

  3. Just to clarify tongue ties are not declarable at time of entry.
That said, whatever the reason for the bleeding, this demonstrates a horse in distress in some capacity.
Of course no investigation will be conducted because bleeding mouths, shattered bones, broken legs flying off, doping, cheating, maiming, dumping and/or dying RARELY leads to any repercussions for the individuals responsible.
All of this is “business as usual” in horse racing, and for the apologists.
It’s very disturbing that this is all being conducted under the guise of “entertainment,” – vile, demented, misrepresentation to the unsuspecting public, and certainly nefarious.
Please don’t support this, spread this blog all over social media, educate anybody you can – the racehorses need your voice.
