Through a FOIA request to the Montana Department of Commerce, I have confirmed the following kill in the 2nd race at Miles City on May 20 of last year:
Minnie Delite Df, no details provided
(Once again, please note that as with Nevada and North Dakota, Montana has one of the lightest schedules in the country – just nine days of live racing last year.)
Through a FOIA request to the Montana Department of Commerce, I have confirmed the following kill in that state in 2017. Please note, however, that Montana has one of the lightest racing schedules in the nation. In addition, the document came with this introduction: “Below is the information that was pieced together pursuant to your request.” Sounds as if accounting for its racehorses is not a Treasure State priority.
Rozaman, July 22, Great Falls, race 1
“[fatal] injury occurred at the finish of race”
